Very inspirational...by the Late Dr Wangari Maathai

The late prof Wangari Mathaai was one of the strongest women we looked up to and she left a legacy. The humming bird piece inspires one to do the best they can despite the limitations and the odds that come their way. Not only did she give the rural women fish but she taught them how to catch the fish collectively which was very motivating. This empowered the women to a more sustainable way.

This model is what Afri-root Collective tries to apply by encouraging women to become creative in doing the best they can either through agriculture, arts and crafts or live stock keeping.
